A calligraphy class is held at the Taguchiyama meeting place in Hirakata City, Osaka Prefecture (near Taguchiyama Elementary School and Nagao Nishi Junior High School).

Classes start every Friday from 17:00 to 21:00.
We will provide individual guidance in the classroom according to the needs of each student.
We also offer a free trial, so please feel free to visit us.


For example, for children under elementary school age, we will teach you how to write hiragana carefully, and for children who are "good at writing".
You can also switch to calligraphy from the middle grade of elementary school. From junior high school students and above, it is possible to switch to a full-fledged artist course for those who want to become calligraphy teachers or professional calligraphers in the future.

[Differences from other classrooms]
When you think of calligraphy classes, you might think of them as "teachers look scary" or "severe", but Mansei Juku's motto is to work on "fun" and "interesting" calligraphy. When I concentrate, I concentrate, but sometimes chat is OK.
Therefore, during the classroom, jazz music is played indoors and a diffuser is prepared to create a healing space with a slightly aromatic scent. It is recommended for those who are looking for a space different from ordinary calligraphy classes, as they can face calligraphy in a relaxed manner.

My name is Mansei Ishida and I am a director and judge of the Japan Calligraphy Academy.

Based on the concept of "calligraphy in daily life," we are holding calligraphy classes and calligraphy courses mainly in the Kansai region by combining daily life and calligraphy.
In the course, we will explain the balance and characteristics of "Hiragana", which is particularly correct and beautiful, and "Kanji", which is in harmony with it, such as hard brush and pen characters.

In addition, we are passing on the know-how cultivated from more than 30 years of experience, from kanji and kana mixed harmony, brush writing, pen characters, and large performance calligraphy.
