The first thing that comes to mind when you hear Jamaican food is "jerk chicken," which can be said to be a national dish.
In local Jamaica, we often see people grilling charcoal on a drum grill at a food stall.
Make addictive chicken soaked in jerk seasoning made with spices and herbs at home with easily available ingredients.

Indispensable for jerk chicken is the Jamaican bean rice "Rice and Peas," which is cooked with beans and spices that are softly boiled in coconut milk. Serve with Caribbean salad.

Kako Watanabe (Afro Cooking Researcher / Music Event Producer)
She has lived in Salvador, Rio de Janeiro, Paris and the Dakar.
Her areas of expertise are West Africa, Afro Brazil and the Caribbean. Since 2013 she has regularly held cooking events in Salvador, northeastern Brazi. Since 2017, she has a wide range of activities, such as serving Senegalese food at irregular events and holding Jamaican food events. The cooking class where you can listen to real information such as local culture and living conditions is popular.
